The Way of Life Bible Fellowship Church has opened an educational program for students in high school in Houston and Surrounding areas.

SMARTS is an acronym for Science, Math, Art, Relationship (with God and Man), Technology, and Social Skills.

The State of Texas is ranked in the BOTTOM 7 in overall SAT scores.  Texas, however, mandates that students take and pass the STAAR Test each year, but SAT scores indicate that only 16% of graduating seniors are college ready in both math and reading. 

SAT scores in Texas range between 300 and 400 points less than those in the States of Wisconsin and Wyoming (who offer SAT/ACT prep as a part of their regular curriculum).  These statistics affect college admissions and scholarships.  Those Texas students who are accepted into college, generally, must take non-accredited remedial courses in their freshman year.

This remedial coursework results in increased college tuition costs and more debt upon graduation.  

The truth is the dream of college admissions and scholarships in hopes of a higher paying salary is a shattered dream for many as college tuition continues to rise.

The average college graduate in 2024 owes approximately $39,982.00 in loans, and employment is then in question.

The average monthly loan payment is $503.00 with 25% of these graduates defaulting on loan payments within 5 years.

There is something that can be done and at SMARTS we believe something must be done and we are doing it with your help.

Programs have been developed to increase SAT/ACT scores and college readiness, however, the costs of these Academies are well above the normal parent’s economic affordability.

• SMARTS helps students acquire better SAT/ACT scores and the chance to obtain better scholarships.
• SMARTS develops leaders today for tomorrow using the John Maxwell Method of Leadership

SMARTS offers  tutoring services for the SAT/ACT, Science, Math, Arts,  Relationship (with God and Man), Technology education, and Social skills (Leadership) activities within local Communities. In addition, there are mind education classes for students, helping with job search locators to improve employment opportunities.
