Pastor Elvis Coombs stepped out by Faith on the Vision and Mission of our Church which is Isaiah 61…The Spirit of the Lord is upon us… He dreamed of planting a church with a simple goal—to help people connect with God so that they might reach their full potential. With the help of the initial Team of 8 people, we set out to make that dream a reality. The Way of Life began February 2012. The initial 8 people met in Pastor Elvis and Sis Berhane Coombs home until we outgrew the home and moved to Greenspoint.

In Greenspoint we cared for the homeless and reached out to the community as we met in the Greenspoint Mall Community room. We then moved to Atascocita where we begun mentoring in the HISD public schools and serving in various school districts across the Houston area metroplex. We later moved to Humble where we currently meet for Worship and serve the City and it’s vast suburbs.

From the beginning, The Way of Life has focused on reaching those who do not know God personally and building relationships through the life-giving message of the Gospel, the passion and joy of Sunday services, and the simple style of The Way of Life brought immediate growth.

Today, the way of life focuses on the growth of the believer and evangelizing the lost. We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek God with passion.
